Are you building a new house? I will intervene during the different phases of the construction process to ensure that your project is executed according to your specifications. I can verify that the planned work has been completed before you make payment to your contractor. I will also come out before the project is finished to help you and your general contractor develop a list of remaining items. This is not a code compliance inspection for your contractor, but a new construction inspection for you.

PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTION OF ANCESTRAL HOME: $850

A Certified® move-in seller's inspection alerts you to any defects or problems with your home, so you can fix them before potential buyers discover them. HOME HEALTH CHECK INSPECTION: $595

ANNUAL HOME MAINTENANCE INSPECTION: $400

CHECKING THE REPAIR:

Have you had renovation or repair work carried out by a contractor to remedy a deficiency, or to adapt or modernize a structure or system in your home? I will inspect it to ensure that the materials, installation and workmanship meet quality standards and your specifications. This is not a code compliance inspection, but an inspection to verify that the work was done correctly.


MOISTURE INSPECTION: $100
Moisture meters detect and measure moisture in building materials. I use them to check areas near plumbing, air conditioning units, bathrooms, and wood components in contact with the floor. Appliances can cause leaks or condensation, leading to high humidity levels. With a humidity meter, I locate the source of humidity problems. Immediate remediation is necessary to prevent mold growth.


SEWER INSPECTION: $250
Are your sinks and bathtubs draining too slowly? I will use a special camera to monitor your sewer line to view any blockages that are interfering with the proper drainage of your plumbing system. Finding and fixing these problems now can avoid catastrophic and costly repairs later.


SEPTIC TANK INSPECTION: $300
I will perform an on-site inspection of your wastewater treatment (septic) system, evaluate its general condition and maintenance, test its operation, and inform you of my findings. If the system is overloaded, I can recommend other steps you can take to remedy the problem.


WATER QUALITY INSPECTION: $150
Our water quality inspection service is designed to evaluate the safety and purity of your home's water. Our expert inspectors will carry out a thorough assessment of the water supply, examining various parameters to ensure it meets quality standards. This inspection includes testing for contaminants, such as bacteria, lead, chemicals and other potential hazards. We use state-of-the-art testing methods and equipment to provide accurate and reliable results. After the inspection, you will receive a detailed report describing the findings, as well as any recommended actions to resolve the identified issues.


RADON GAS TEST: $150
Although radon is a naturally occurring gas in our environment, it is also the second leading cause of lung cancer deaths in the United States, according to the Surgeon General. ROOF INSPECTION: $250
Do you just need a roof inspection done for insurance or other purposes? Well-constructed private wells are generally safe, but problems can occur that introduce contaminants into the water supply. I will check your private well for basic structural issues and take a water sample to test for lead, microbial pollutants, and hazardous chemicals.



INFRARED INSPECTION: $100
I use a state-of-the-art infrared camera to detect problems that are not always visible to the naked eye. CHIMNEY AND FIREPLACE INSPECTION: $450
A level one chimney inspection includes a visual check of the hearth and chimney without any special equipment or climbing onto the roof. The inspector will come to your home with a flashlight; look for damage, blockages, creosote buildup and soot; and tell you if the chimney requires sweeping.
